Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.
--Coco Chanel

Holly Churchill Lane has been creating jewelry and designing flatware for over 30 years. Her flatware designing experience has translated into making jewelry that is not only beautiful but comfortable to wear. “The weight and balance of an object is equally important to me as its esthetics”.

Holly has been heavily influenced by:

  • Ancient/Indigenous artifacts
  • Classic mid-century fashion
  • A bit of Punk Rock

In the mid-80’s Holly was with the 1st group of craftspeople who worked side by side with the West African metalsmiths of the Cote D’ Ivory through Parsons School of Design. This experience has made a lasting impact on her as an artist.

There’s a spareness to Holly‘s design approach.  Her favorite quote is from Coco Chanel, “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.”  Holly thinks about this when she is designing a piece of jewelry, “ How can I do more with less.”

Holly has extensively shown her work from coast to coast.  She has been sought out by a number of companies for her designing skills.  And her 1st line of jewelry was published in ELLE magazine.
